Fleming Medical have adapted their training offering to customers during COVID-19 by collaborating with healthcare and industry experts to offer a host of free educational webinars. Their last webinar in March was on the topic of Advanced Wound Care Solutions with a special guest speaker, Professor Georgina Gethin from the School of Nursing and Midwifery at NUI Galway and co-founder of the Alliance for Research and Innovation in Wounds. They had over 400 registrations and received a host of positive reviews from pharmacists and pharmacy retail staff. The webinar focused on wound care case studies and how pharmacies can market wound care ranges to nursing homes in order to increase revenue.
Following the success of the Wound Care webinar, Fleming Medical are presenting an Asthma and Allergy Awareness webinar on the 25th of May at 10am. They will be joined on the webinar by Dr. Dorothy Ryan from Beaumont Hospital who is an expert in respiratory conditions with a specialty interest in airways diseases – severe asthma and bronchiectasis. She will discuss asthma in detail and the effect that allergens have on patients with the chronic illness.
James Reihill, Clinical Training Specialist at Fleming Medical, will also be hosting the training where he will explore some of the devices and products like nebulisers and humidifiers that can help deliver medication and ease symptoms of asthma and seasonal allergies during the summer season.
