Keane’s CarePlus Pharmacy
In 2021, Keane’s Pharmacy underwent a cultural transformation project. Their mission quite simply was to invest heavily in their staff in creating a positive working environment across the company. Through management working with all staff, the team established objectives to improve wellness within the workplace, improve upon corporate social responsibility as a group, and more importantly incorporate a sense of fun and enthusiasm into conducting daily tasks within the pharmacies.
Boots Ireland
In February 2022 Boots Ireland introduced a Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccination Service; a first in the community pharmacy sector in Ireland. Introduction of the HPV vaccination Service at Boots plays to the strengths of their pharmacists and pharmacy teams. Boots have a proud heritage as innovators in the vaccination services space being the first community pharmacy group in Ireland to lead with the introduction of flu, shingles, pneumococcal, travel and now HPV vaccination services.
McCabes Pharmacy Group
McCabes Pharmacy Group decided to create a McCabes Pharmacy digital personalised service, creating an intelligent guided selling (IGS) “Help me Choose” journey. They chose the Skincare category first, as choosing skincare products is complex, and everybody’s skin is different, calling it the Skincare Advisor. The Skincare Advisor helped bridge the gap between their in-store and online experience. With health expertise and services being central to their Digital offering, they extended the guided journeys to other categories. This is a first for Irish pharmacy.
CarePlus Pharmacy Group
CarePlus Pharmacy have partnered with HSE Digital Transformation, Full Health Medical, Patient Knows Best and Fitbit to create a Rapid Health Screening Living Lab that provides a full health screening in under 10 mins and an electronic patient health record within 24 hours.
CarePlus are synonymous with putting customer and patient care at the centre of their innovation, by conducting research and working with other partners in the industry to bring the best solution to customers/patients. They are first to market with this innovation in providing an electronic health record as part of their living lab with the HSE.
Stacks Pharmacy Group
Stacks Pharmacy Group have installed the first community sized blister packing machine in Ireland or the UK and the first one outside of Spain. The machine and system simplify the blister packing process helping to reduce errors and staff required for this process. The system decreases processing times significantly. The benefit t to the patient is that the blister packs are produced in a much safer and faster manner and that the pharmacy team have more time with their patients.
