In order to reduce patient waiting times and ensure the smooth delivery from initial phonecall to the front door, the team developed and launched a new pharmacy app. They have
found that since its introduction, they have helped medicine compliance through use of the dosing reminders and resulting in fewer missed doses. The new app also reduced phone calls to the pharmacy, and consequently engaged phone lines via its prescription ordering tool and vaccine registration.
Slane Pharmacy, Slane
Key challenges for Slane Pharmacy during 2021/2022 including vaccination provision and an increased reliance on community pharmacy by patients meant the team had to react quickly and decisively to retain and grow the current business. By achieving and continuing to work on their core business objectives, they have successfully achieved a ‘one-stop’ status for the pharmacy.
